What is Success?

The standard of identifying success is not how much money and authority you own,

but how close your life becomes to the one you long (to/for).

ex. Slow down! You need to identify your priority.  (停停停！你必須先權衡你的優先順序)

* authority   (n.) 權力

ex. He has no authority to do it.  (他無權去這樣做)

* Long for +Ving/N. (phr.v) ;  long to + V    渴望

ex1. He longs for fame.  (他渴望名譽)

ex2. I long to see my best friend.  (我渴望見到我最好的朋友)

## 難句解析 ：

how much 與 how close 作為 conjunction 連接詞 的用法，就像中文的「轉品」，詞性是可以轉換的喔！記得嗎，Tracy老師上課提到：After a conjunction, it must be a sentence (S.+V.)。所以在此句中不能寫成 ”how much money and authority do you own” 或 ”how close does your life become to the one you long”，而是：

The standard of identifying success is not how much money and authority you own,
